01:02 pm - OMG, an update!
First aplogies for not writing anything in like, 2-3 months, for the first half of that I've been too miserable to, and then for the second half I've been too damn busy! Anyway, here's what I've been upto:

I've got a new Job! Started this week, and it's going ok so far. I'm Creative Graphic Designer for an Advertising and Marketing Agency just outside Notts. I get to do brochures, posters, leaflets, websites, interactive CD-ROMs, and promo videos, lots of stuff and lots of new skills! It's a small company but it's very friendly. A couple of things have thrown me already, firstly they got rid of the other Graphic Designer last weekend (because he was dating a mental, seriously!) which means I'm the only actual print designer here at the moment and there's no-one to sort of show me the ropes, I'm having to pick up a lot on my own steam which is making me nervous about making mistakes, which is combined with the second thing that they have a very lax attitude when it comes to storing data on the servers, so a lot of things are left upto the individual operator to makr and store in their own nuantic way. But these are minor quibbles really, it's a good job for a good company, and I'm enjoying it. So there.

---------------------------------------------------

I got called up to do Jury Service and seeing as failure to do it results in a £500 fine and a stretch in chokey I did it and I've just finished it. I can tell you it was actually kinda fun, but I think I got lucky in a way, I got put on an attempted murder trial (that's not the lucky part) on the first day I was there and the trial was scheduled to last the whole of the two weeks I was required to do Jury Service for, wheras most of the people I met there were doing 1 quick trial, then sitting around for aaaaaaaaaaages (you're not allowed out of the building while waiting to be put on a jury, not even for a fag!) until you get put on another jury. So my advice if any of you ever have to do it is take a good book, PSP or DS, some work that needs finishing, or be prepared to do tons of jigsaws.

So they call your name out and you then have to trot down to court with about 19 other people, where they then pick 12 of you out of a hat in front of the judge and accused to serve on the jury. If you don't get called you go back upstairs and drink more free coffee and have scones with jam and butter on them (yumyum).

It's quite good fun. You get to meet a lot of people you wouldn't normally meet. I became good friends with this bumbling old man called Brian with a warped sense of humour, and a fat girl called Louisa, two types of people I don't normally associate myself with. And because you're all cooped together you bond quite easily. The funny thing was on our jury was two solicitors as they've relaxed the laws on who can and can't serve on a jury! You're not allowed to discuss the case while it's in progress, but now that it's over I'm free to spill the beans.

So, as I said I got put on an attempted murder trial and it was quite a nasty case, we had witness behind screens and witnesses giving evidence by videolink and everything! Basically these 4 chavs were accused of throwing a brick at a disabled guy's head, knocking him out, dragging him out of his car, then knifing him 9 times with a 12" Machete. He was left a vegetable, he can only communicate through blinking and he's only one level off being totally brain dead according to the medical witness. So we had to listen to all of the evidence over the course of a week and a bit. We saw maps and photos of the blood-stained car, we even had to handle the Machete used! But then we got told by the judge that he was directing us to find them not-guilty for attempted murder and wounding with intent, and they then all pleaded guilty to the lesser violent misconduct charge. Cunts.

It left us all with a bad taste in our mouth. On the one hand we agreed with the judge, most of the witnesses were 16 year-olds who were pissed at a nearby party, and weren't neccessarily reliable. And one of the defendants had pleaded guilty to attempted murder, so the other three defence barristers were pinning it all on him to get their clients off. But on the other hand we were pissed that WE weren't being allowed to come to that decision, kinda making a fool of the whole trial-by-jury thing, and also we felt there was enough compelling evidence to get one more of them on attempted murder and one of the others on wounding with intent. Also they were the most dispicable looking chavs you've ever seen, I wnated to find them in contempt of court just for the shirts they were wearing! But in all seriousness, we felt there was just enough evidence which was a real kick in the stones. Also we were told of their history afterwards, and two of them had something like 12 previous offenses behind them, all of which to do with violence. Gah. Well the one who pleaded guilty is going to probably get life (he's 21), one is only 16 and he's going to a youth detention facility indefinitely, one will get a few months behind bars, and the final one will get an extended sentence because of his past. At least they're going away but not for as long as we would've liked.

So, Al's final points scores for the Barristers are as follows:

Judge- 9/10: He was a cool old judge, very nice, you could imagine him giving you Werther's Originals by a fire at Xmas. He also got very angry that he couldn't throw the book at the accused, and you could tell he was a generally nice chap. The judge's wig was very impressive, like a rather proud and well groomed sheep atop a dusky hill. He loses a point because he didn't bang his gavel ONCE! Pointless!

Prosecution- 8/10: Not bad, reminded me of my old maths teacher Mr Wigfield. He kept screwing up every now and again though. There was a hilarious bit where he and a police officer were acting out the first interview of one of the accused and kept reading each others lines, very am-dram. But his wig was particularly stylish, cascading around the ears in a, just-got-out-of-bed-with-my-wig-on kinda look.

Defence 1- 8/10: Very nice old dude, looked like a stereotypical barrister, looking over his glasses all the time with clenched fist on his hip. Big booming voice, terrorised the witnesses, he even made a 15-year old girl cry! (knocked a point off for that tho) but he loses another point for not keeping his wig clean, it was going yellow and hadn't been washed in a good long time.

Defence 2- 3/10: Massive Wanker. He obviously fancied himself as an actor and would jesticulate alot. He also kept giving these knowing looks to the jury which was pissing off every one of us because he didn't come over as intelligent, he came over as a smug cunt. He even managed to pin more evidence against his client whilst cross examining one witness! Useless man. He looked like a walrus, his robes were worn in an unflattering off-the-shouder way, and his wig wasn't big enough to cover his bald spot. But I give him 3 points for having a black junior who looked like a jamaican drug dealer.

Defence 3- 6/10: He was a really good defense attorney and did a remarkable impression of a yapping dog, something like a scottish terrier. But he was defending the 16 year old and there was the least amount of evidence against him, so he didn't really have to do anything. His wig was traditional and strong, if a little boring. Like a hammock really.

Here's a few observations I made during my time:

• When the barristers launched objections the background didn't rush pass at a 45 degree angle- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney lies to our faces.
• No-one used the Chewbacca Defence.
• I spent a whole week humming the riff to Perry Mason by Ozzy, rar.
• I feel sorry for defence attornies who have to defend guilty little cunts
• Jokes about 'soliciting' don't stop being funnily purile.
• Black dudes in white wigs look awesome.
• The law should be streamlined, too many technicalities.
• Hot girls in hot skirts should do Jury Service more often.

All in all it was quite an interesting experience. We were allowed out of Jury service 3 days early because there were too many people hanging around waiting to be called, which kinda topped it off nicely. I thought it would be a drag, and a hassle, but it definitely wasn't. If you get called up don't worry about doing it.

---------------------------------------------------

I have a new wife and her name is Playstation 3. Oh yes. It's gooooooood.

---------------------------------------------------

It's Lee's wedding soon and I'm excited. I was quite looking forward to flirting with bridesmaids but Lee has informed me that Sam has 1 bridesmaid and she's 10. That's young even for me. Bah. But I'm really looking forward to dancing to the Ghostbusters theme tune, inventing a new catchphrase, and generally falling over a lot. And the stag-do to come soon too! Boobies!

---------------------------------------------------

The Untitled Gasworxx website is nearly go (held be me spending too much time with my new wife, see above), I've conned, er, convinced MR Booth to join me on this little jape, as well as an old buddy of mine called Rich who I went to Worcester Art College with and who is working as a designer in London at the mo. Expect to see THE most orgasmic design ever, SOON..........

---------------------------------------------------

My cat Theo's really ill :( He's got an inflamed heart and fluid in his lungs. I got to see him last weekend when I went back to see my Dad, he looked really frail and a bit worried, but I stroked him and fed him some ham and that made him feel better. I don't know if he'll last to xmas, he's 15 so that makes him about 105 in cat years I think. He's had a good life and caught his fair share of birds, frogs, and spiders, but it will still be hard to see him go, he's looked after my Dad well since my mum passed away.

---------------------------------------------------

And finally, I'm moving into a new flat! Matt my housemate is moving in with his missus, and I'm now in the mood to have a bit more of my own space rather than share again, so I'm moving into a lovely flat in Canning Circus, 2 minutes walk from Junktion 7. It's got really nice floorboards, red walls, a bit of a verander, and it's in a really modern building in a really nice close. It's also right on my bus route to work which means I can lie in a little longer in the mornings. I move in at the end of the month and I'm looking forward to it. Just have to sift through the mountain of crap in my store- cupboard first!

Well if you've made it this far then you must really be having a boring day at work!

I'm in a really dark place right now.

I got made redundant a couple of weeks ago. GW posted really bad results to the CIty, and according to the HR rep I was talking to, they shed about 10% of their global staff. The Design Studio had to have a token redundancy, and unfortunately that fell on me. I'm paid til the end of the month then I have 4 weeks redundancy pay and then that's it. I've had an interview already, but I heard back from them today and I didn't get it. The fact of the matter is I've been applying for jobs for over a year now and I haven't got one. I'm just not good enough. I kinda feel like I fluked my career up until now, I don't feel like I've earned it and it feels like I've just been putting off the inevitable until now. The writing was on the wall when I was back in Maidstone, no-one wanted to employ me then, this whole thing with GW just feels like I've been covering up the fact I'm not good enough to make it as a designer. I just can't face letting my dad down, he's given me so much, he's always been there for me, he's going through his own shit in his job, I can't face giving him more hassle, he doesn't deserve it. I don't deserve him.

I don't really have much to keep me going right now. I don't really have much passion for anything, I don't have a girl's love to drive me on, heh, don't really have any self-respect left. I'm relying on pills to stop me from cutting myself, Living with Matt feels like I'm living with my mother, I'm drinking and smoking REALLY heavily, I'm a mess, a complete joke. I don't earn anything in life, I just fall into it. Just like if I get out of this funk I'm in I'll fall out of it, I won't climb out out, fight my way out, it'll just happen to correct itself, I won't learn a thing, and I'll make all the same mistakes again. Ad infinitum. It's always going to be this way. I just feel like shit and don't know what to do, I just want it all to be over, I just want my mum. God I want my mum.

You know what the only two things I'm looking forward to are? Liverpool in the Champions League final and the Iron Man movie. It's come down to that, a fucking football match and a film. Not going out and seeing friends at the weekend, not finding new bands to fall in love with, not playing my bass, or creating something meaningful, just watching two things that I had no hand in making.

I hate what i've become. I hate what I stand for, I think of what I could have done, what I could have acheived, the difference I could have made to friend's lives and the world around me, and I openly weep. What's the point anymore, what's the fucking point.

08:00 pm - Update
I've posted most of this in a friend's LJ, but I thought I'd post it as a proper update so that people kinda know what's happening with me.

I haven't felt right in a long time, my insomnia's been back with a vengeance these last few months, I was turning up at work in a bad mood, being cranky with people, and notb eing very productive. So I went to the docs about it. I've been consulting with him for about a month now and I've now decided to go on a course of anti-depressants, anti-anxiety pills, and sleeping tablets. The depressants are the least of them as I don't have full blown depression, but I've been having major anxiety attacks recently not helped by my general low self-confidence and esteem, and my body clock is shot, I'm getting 3 hours sleep max most nights. So I'm doing this before it gets too bad to handle, I don't want to get to the point where I'm pushing people away from me.

So I've been taking them for about a week now, and I have to say I'm feeling better already. I've noticed that I'm being a lot more optimistic about everything really. I'm being more talkative when I'm out, generally not having as much playing on the back of my mind, and I think I'm feeling a bit more confident about myself too. It's still early days, I'm on the anti-anxiety pills for 6 months, but I'm optimistic, I have hope.

Other than this I've been good. I've 3 weeks off this xmas (already had a week off, woo!) so I'm hoping to relax a fair bit. I went to see Sabi this weekend. For those of you who don't know, we're not properly together any more, the distance meant we just couldn't make enough time for one another to make a proper go at it, but we're still good friends, and we do meet up every now and again and have 'fun'. But anyway I went down to Fulham and it was a blast, we went to the Game On exhibition at the Science Museum, the history of Video Games! It was awesome, it was like a retro arcade but all the games were free to play! I played monkey Island, Pacman, Pong, Gradius, AND... If you book in advance you can have a free play on a PS3!!! I played Motor Storm and it was AWESOME!!!!!! NEED a PS3!!!!! NEED A PS3!!!!! We had a really nice meal together, then went to a house party, where I got forced to do Karaoke! I murderised several songs, including Teen Spirit and Unchained Melody, but I did actually do an ok rendition of Life On Mars? by Bowie (Booth, be proud!). We got very drunk and it was all cool. We went shopping in Camden the next day, but some kickass trainers, they've got details made from Harris Tweed on them! Then had a great night together after. I made my way back on the Monday and realised that it was my friend Laura's leaving party as she's going off to Coventry for a new job. So I had to drag my very tired body out for that, but was glad I did. Was a really great time, and I got given a jelly bean dispenser shaped like a frog! Woke up on Laura's couch the next day with stale pizza in my mouth, not pleasant.

So yeah, I'm hoping next year will be a good year. Still looking for the right design jobs to apply to, definitely going to finish off learning to drive, hopefully I'll be happier in general.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Warren Ellis' Bad Signal Mailing List

Who wants to be a Rocket Pirate?

Joey Manley talked me into curating a mass webcomics site. I’ve known Joey for getting on for six years now. It’s partly my fault that he got involved with comics at all. I suspect this is his revenge.

People who want to make webcomics are invited to submit their ideas to me for membership in the Rocket Pirates, a webcomics collective which will be housed at http://www.rocketpirates.com.

Rocket Pirates will be the first site to launch with the new Webcomics Nation Collective Edition technology, which will be available as a commercial product for people wanting to quickly and cheaply launch their own multi-creator webcomics portals sometime in the next few months. Because we’re all about being quick and cheap, believe me.

Rocket Pirates will be free to all readers, all the time. This means, of course, that there is no cut of subscription fees to offer to creators. Instead, the system allows each creator the freedom to install Google Ads, Amazon Associates ads, ads for their own products, rate cards for prostitution services or any other damn thing on their comic’s Rocket Pirates page. Also, since we’re not paying, all Rocket Pirates engagements are on a non-exclusive basis, allowing the creators to run their comics on their own websites or any other place that’ll have them.

The non-subscription approach means that I’m also doing this for free, so anyone who wants to send food and clothing c/o Joey Manley at Modern Tales is welcome to do so. I also offer inexpensive adult services.

The submissions system is simply this: email your materials to me at warrenellis@gmail.com. I want to see at least three completed pages and an overview of what you intend to do. No need to be formal — rambly emails talking about the central concepts and what you want to achieve are fine.

I’m open to anything — series, serialised graphic novels, single panels, self-contained shorts, newspaper-style strips — in any style, from manga to clipart to whatever the hell you just invented in your basement. No limits.

I’m open to any kind of content. You’re going to have to work pretty hard to get me to accept a superhero project for the site, but if you’ve got something that knocks me flat, I’ll take it. But, seriously, I want to eventually curate something that takes in a wide breadth of what comics can achieve. Surprise me. Give me something straight out of literary mainstream fiction, give me a warped genre, give me something I’ve never seen before. That’s the “theme” of the site, the glue that holds it together. It is quite simply “stuff Warren really likes.”

The submissions process is open to everybody. I don’t care if you only decided you wanted to try and make a comic ten minutes ago — I’ll look at it. I’ll warn you in advance that the chances of my being able to provide detailed and constructive rejections are slight,
but I’ll do my best.

(Also, if the site turns out to be all-male because only guys submitted, I’m going to be very pissed off, and will infect you all with this lung disease my girlfriend seems to have passed to me over the weekend.)

I’d like to be up and running by the end of the month, but I won’t kick the site live until I have enough work of quality. The submissions process will remain permanently open. Unless, you know, I change my mind. I am unpredictable and I drink a lot.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well get to it, gentlemen!

06:17 pm - The week in review
Well, I've finally got a few minutes to update my journal!

Firstly, the rarebreeds. Guys I had a blast last weekend, it was frikkin' awesome to see y'all in Gillingham. Caff, you've got a great pad man you n' Debs look well settled! Chris, shame on you for leading innocent little Katy *cough* astray with your alcoholic ways! Pickers, Lee, Glenn-boy, Paula and Sam, it was a pleasure as always, we really do need to do it more often. Ben, have you tried on your Superman costume for size yet? It's looking like I'll have to buy my Iron Man costume as I'm really not going to have time to make it, which is annoying as (A) I could do with saving the money, and (B) the official IM costume is pretty gay, but looks like I'll have to bite the bullet on that one. I'm hoping I'llg et the pictures developed in the next weeek or so, so I'll post a link to 'em here when I do.

I saw Deftones at Rock CIty on Tuesday, and they were ACE! That was the best I've seen them play for a long long time. I think they must've enjoyed Metallica playing all of Master Of Puppets at Donnington, cos they tried to play all of Adrenaline! But they ran out of time, d'oh! Still, ace show nonetheless.

I spent most of yesterday helping GLenn and Katy move into their new house yesterday. It's really nice, too! Katy's dad made good headway on the garden out the back, the frnot garden is kinda looking like a left-over effect from Jumanji, but Glenn was looking forward to getting stuck into it and making it look as nice as the rest of the property. Katy got scared because she kept getting attacked by grasshoppers and white spiders, but I think she'll have fun killing them all summer! Hope you guys are settling in alright!

Then went out and got drunk, woo! But not too drunk, I'm looking after the bills in my house whilst Pete sorts himself out a new job, and Ginger Paul, Biff, Wob, and Bevis from Maidstone are all coming upto visit next weekend (barring idiocy) so I'd rather spend my money then. RIght, better go as I've got to finish off some freelance work for tomorrow morning, tatty-bye!

07:12 pm - Mystic Moses
I'm going to have a stab at predicting the future. I see... I see me. The date is May 2nd, 2008. I'm, I'm standing in a queue, a queue outside a cinema. But what's the name of the film I'm going to see? I can't quite make it out. Oh, it's become clear now, I'm going to see...

THE FUCKING IRON MAN MOVIE, BITCHES!!!!!!!!!

------------------------

Press Release

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment will kick off the 2008 summer movie-going season on May 2nd with Iron Man, the first motion picture to be produced by Marvel under its alliance with Paramount, it was announced today by Rob Moore, President, Worldwide Marketing, Distribution, and Operations, Paramount Pictures; Michael Helfant, President and COO, Marvel Studios; and Kevin Feige, president of production for Marvel Studios. Marvel Studios is a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: MVL). Jon Favreau will direct the film, based on Marvel's best-selling Iron Man comic book character.

The Iron Man film will be produced by Avi Arad, creative advisor to Marvel Studios, and Kevin Feige. Executive Producers are Ari Arad, Mr. Favreau and Louis D'Esposito. This project, the first feature film to be produced independently by Marvel Entertainment, is expected to be financed through Marvel's $525 million revolving film financing facility and distributed under Marvel's overall distribution arrangement with Paramount. Iron Man will mark the first production under Mr. Arad's newly launched production company, Avi Arad
Productions. Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Helfant said, "We're very excited to lock down the release date for Iron Man, Marvel's first independently produced feature film. We couldn't have asked for a better partner than Paramount to work with on this very powerful character franchise." Mr. Feige added, "We're thrilled to be launching the summer 2008 movie season with Iron Man. Marvel has had great success with the first Friday in May -- 'Spider-Man' broke records on that first Friday and 'X2' debuted at the top of the box office charts as well. We're looking forward to extending that track record with Iron Man and are extremely pleased with the progress of the script, the production team we are forming and the initial production designs." Moore said, "Marvel is one of our most important partners and Iron Man is one of their premier heroes. We're thrilled to be launching our relationship -- and the summer season in 2008 -- with this movie." Based upon Marvel's iconic Super Hero, the film will follow billionaire weapons-manufacturer, Tony Stark, who confronts the sins of his past after he is injured by one of his own weapons. Equipped with a high-tech suit of armor, he becomes Iron Man to combat evil on a global scale. Paramount Pictures is part of the entertainment operations of Viacom Inc., one of the leading global entertainment content companies, with prominent and respected brands in focused demographics across virtually all media. With a library of over 5,000 characters, Marvel Entertainment, Inc. is one of the world's most prominent character-based entertainment companies. For more information visit www.marvel.com.

-------------------------

And Jon Favreau's set up his own movie group on myspace where he's asking people for their ideas for who should play him and villains etc. He seems like a really funny guy! Favreau did Zathura, Made, and Elf, and was FOggy Nelson in the Daredevil film and Monica's boyfriend who entered the Ultimate FIghting Championship in Friends.

Still say Johnny Depp should play him. Or me.

06:03 pm - My God! A Journal Update!
Wow, I'm actually updating my journal!

Well the reason I haven't really updated it in a while is I jst haven't really been upto that much/ Been doing a lot of freelance as well as normal graphics work. Some really cool stuff's on the horizon but I don't want to talk about it in case I jinx it. Work's been a lot better. Me and the other designer Pete have basically said to our bosses how unhappy we are and management have taken a few steps and we find out about pay rises quite soon, so that combined with the fact I've not had much free time has meant I've kinda put the job search on temporary hold for the mo, tho I did get some freelance work out of it so it was worth it.

Other than work I've been playing a shitload of gigs in my band and we've now got label interest (But all interested parties are waiting til we get a demo recorded and that's some tim off), and I went to the Download Festival last weekend with MoreFair and others. T'was fucking ace! I'd gone up on the Wednesday with my mates Ian and Shep. The plan was we'd take a bunch of our friend's tents along with our own stuff and set them up in return for some beer so we could all camp together (most were coming on the Thursday). So we got there, only to realise that not only were we having to carry 6 tents and our camping gear, but also 8 crates of beer. Between 3 of us. Hmm. SO we had to do it in shifts. THe main one being when we got to the entrance me and Shep carried all the tents in (leaving our bags and the booze with Ian), set them up, and then came back to meet Ian. By which time Ian had managed to drink half a crate of beer on is ownn. He may have been quite drunk. But we all managed to camp together and saw some ace bands. Chris! We saw Dragonforce! You would DEFINITELY have approved. As Glenn-boy said, 'tallica played all of Master of Puppets and that was a definite highlight. Guns N' Roses were boring and we left halfway through (sounded like a pub covers band), but Tool were awesome, so were Deftones, kinda heard of bit of The Prodgy (yes I spelt that deliberately), and there were loads of cool hardcore bands I saw. We missed Lordi tho, and apparently they were quite good. There were burlesque shows on through the night and freaks doing tricks. There were also breakdancing Aliens and Marines (from the Alien films), weird light/sound areas where you could get stoned and make strange noises by rubbing your pole (ooh!) and a Beyonce Castle, which was a bouncy castle but shaped like inflatable boobs! The toilets were horrible, there wasn't enough water anywhere, and the showers were a little unnerving at first because it was communal and everyone of both sexes was walking around naked! :-S But some random girl asked to do my back which was quite nice! And I managed not to puke n the way home this year! Katy's car upholstery lives for another 12 months... I've got some great Download pics but I don't know how to post them up on LJ so I'll have to ask for technical expertise for you guys.

I've got a new housemate, Pete, who's a top bloke and plays in my band (previous housemate has now moved in with his missus) and we've spent most of our time so far playing Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 til 4 in the morning.

02:29 pm - Patton!
Thought this might be of interest to y'all, but primarily Brown and Jen. Have any of you heard an album that's coming out by a band called Peeping Tom? It's the latest project by Mr Mike Patton. It got leaked online and it's fucking brilliant, I'd even go as far to say it's his best woork outside of FNM (yes Chris, it's better than Disco Volante). it's Mike and people like Massive Attack, Rahzel, Dan The Automaton, Amon Tobin, Kid Koala and Norah Jones (!). Apparently Patton plays all the instruments on it himself.

It's out on the 29th, it's seriously worth checking out.

07:16 pm - A Start
Well, I sent off my CV on Monday, mainly to make myself feel beter than the numbing, insolent pain I've been getting at work.

They sent me an email today offering me an interview.

I haven't arranged the interview yet, though it's probably going to be sometime next week. It's at an Advertising Design Consultancy (EXACTLY what I've been after since day fucking one) and for a shitload more cash than I'm on at the moment, from the sounds of it it's a senior middleweight position, which means more responsibility which is exactly what I'm being starved of at work (that, and creativity, free thought, hope, and the will to live). Now it's only an invitation to an interview, I'm not getting carried away, but it's just nice to know that serious design agencies will consider me, the fear of myself and More all along has been that people wouldn't take our hard work seriously because of the nature of our subject matter, and although there's still plenty of time for them to turn round and openly laugh, I'm not going to deny myself the chance to feel optimistic for a short while.

06:42 pm - My Artwork in Kerrang!
Sweet! The new issue of Kerrang! (no. 1089) has got a review of an album I did the design and artwork for! It's on pg 43 and it's for a compilation album called Stressed Vol.2 (there's a link to the Stressed Records' myspace in my friends *plug*), it gets a decent review as well, great considering half of the stuff on it isn't the usual Kerrang! fare. But anyway, the issue goes off sale tomorrow so if you would like to check it out (although obviously the incredible subtlety and sheer graphical genius of the cover can't be truly grasped in a small thumbnail of it, hehe), you haven't got long I'm afraid. But seeing my design in a pretty major national publication is damn badass! Right next objective, get the Hanzo stuff in there before year's end.

But without ruining anything I can tell you one of the most kickass things is it's going to have fucking Robocop in it! Peter Weller's playing someone from Jackbaueronemanarmy's past. That's going to be cool! oh and bouncy Kim's back! And it's hinted Chloe and Edgar bumped uglies!!!! ewwwww!!!11!!!11!

10:30 am - Merry KISSmass!
Merry KISSmas one and all!

In this festive season, may you all be visited by Gene Simmons or even Ace Frehley, as we take a moment to celebrate the greatest glam rock band in history. And some dude caled Jesus.

Remember, God gave rock and roll to YOU.

\||/

In all seriousness have a great xmas, y'all. There's a New Year's party kicking off at mine this year which you're all invited to if you can make it. I hope next year is good to you all.
